De aankomst was in eerste instantie wat spannend, omdat het pad naar de accommodatie toe nogal hobbelig is. We dachten echt waar komen we terecht? Gelukkig kwam alles goed. We reden het pad af, langs de verschillende huisjes, en kwamen langs het huis van de eigenaar. Hij zat buiten en hielp ons direct naar het juiste appartement. Na het uitpakken werden we uitgenodigd voor een 'welkomstborrel'. Eigenaar Vincent is uiterst vriendelijk, behulpzaam en joviaal. Het huisje was echt geweldig. Simpel, maar uiterst praktisch. Het balkon met uitzicht op het dal was werkelijk fantastisch. Daar hebben we elke morgen en avond gegeten, onder het genot van een wijntje. Een minpunt was de bedden. Die waren echt slecht. Dat zorgde nogal eens voor een gevoelige rug in de morgen. Wat betreft de omgeving je kunt alle kanten op. Als je van de natuur houdt, kun je rondom het huisje je hart ophalen rondom het meer. Ook is het Chanti-gebied absoluut de moeite waard. Als het gaat om cultuur is het Chanti-gebied ook een aanrader, vooral om een wijn-tour te maken met een rondleiding en proeverij. Typisch Toscane! Ook qua historie is dit gebied echt goed. De verschillend karakteristieke dorpjes steden hebben veel te bieden. Wat dacht je van Siena, Pienza, Firenze, Arezzo, etc.?

The arrival was initially exciting, because the path to the accommodation is rather bumpy. We really thought where do we end up? Fortunately, everything went well. We drove down the path, past the various houses, and passed the house of the owner. He sat outside and helped us directly to the right apartment. After unpacking we were invited for a "welcome drink". Owner Vincent is extremely friendly, helpful and jovial. The cottage was really great. Simple, but extremely practical. The balcony overlooking the valley was truly fantastic. We have eaten there every morning and evening, while enjoying a glass of wine. A downside was the beds. They were really bad. That often caused a sensitive back in the morning. Regarding the environment you can go in all directions. If you love nature, you can indulge yourself around the cottage around the lake. The Chanti area is also absolutely worthwhile. When it comes to culture, the Chanti area is also recommended, especially to make a wine tour with a tour and tasting. Typical Tuscany! This area is also really good in terms of history. The different characteristic villages have a lot to offer. How about Siena, Pienza, Firenze, Arezzo, etc.?
