At Stabbestad, 20 km away, there is a spa hotel and golf course as well as a mini-golf facility, as well as a beach club, harbor pool and kayak rental on the fjord. If you don't drive a boat yourself, you can use a taxi boat or take a trip with Øysangferja, Norway's oldest wooden boat ferry, which runs between Øysang and Risør. Experience Risør's characteristic white wooden houses, saltwater aquarium, and restaurants, and take part in one of the many events and festivals, such as the wooden boat festival in August.
